Waimaro is a Maritime NZ fully compliant self-propelled steel vessel. Her combined features make her a very βhandyβ work boat and platform, and she often out performs expectations.
12m length x 6m beam, means a sizeable and stable deck.
Rated to carry 23T (this is usually a truck and trailer of cargo) - have a look in the Scope of Works section of the Portfolio.
MNZ MTOC until 2035 - recent renewal.
Self-propelled - no need for tugs or pushers to manoeuvre.
Two spuds for maintaining location and also for precise movements (the barge is highly maneuverable and can easily be positioned, within centimetres).
Variable height drive - the drive can be raised when operating in shallow areas and often allows operation through the tide.
Equipped with a Tadano 504 crane, the barge can lift 1T at radius.

Engine has two cooling systems - radiator or salt water heat exchanger. This means that the barge engine is still able to run the hydraulics to operate the crane or hydraulic tools, even when the vessel is high and dry.
Can comfortably carry a 14T excavator for onboard piling or other works.
Barge can be carried by road transporter between locations.
Can be handled by one competent operator.
Two spuds and a variable height drive allow for precise manoeuvring, and achieving and maintaining positional accuracy.
